Respite care
Caring for a loved one can be physically and mentally very demanding. It’s a role that requires 100 per cent commitment, and a
lot of selflessness. No matter how committed one is, to the needs of the person one is caring for, one also needs to make time
for oneself.
Care Visits
At Palmstone Care Services we provide a planned programme of care visits, for a few hours through to a few weeks, for families
and those providing unpaid care. We support adults and elderly people with various disabilities, including those with moving
and handling needs, with very severe, complex and/or challenging needs.
Live-in care
At Palmstone Care Services we provide high-quality live-in carers for adults, elderly and vulnerable people who wish to maintain their
independence by remaining in their own homes for as long as possible.
Looking after senior citizens/elderly persons is at the heart of service provisions. We have an exceptionally high standard of
service, with an experienced and professional team of health and social care professionals who work closely with all our Service
User’s to deliver quality support in accordance with the individual's needs and agreed support plan.
We appreciate that all individuals have a right to privacy, dignity and confidentiality; they also have a right to make their own
decisions and choices. The elderly person has a right to have a quality of life that can be enjoyed for as long as possible,
if they choose to remain, in their own home.
We always remember to be SMART in our service provision. This is because we work to the Service User’s agreed support plan focusing
on the most important aspects of the Service User's care. At Palmstone Care Services our Health Care professionals are trained
to meet all your needs now and always.
Funding your care
Your eligibility for NHS continuing healthcare depends on your assessed needs, and not on any particular diagnosis or condition. So if your needs change then your eligibility for NHS continuing healthcare may change.
It is important one explores all available options for funding one’s care. This can be a daunting experience for individuals.
You have the right to request a free care assessment from the Social Services department, which includes a community care
assessment and a means-tested financial assessment to see if you are eligible to receive support with the cost of your care.
But we are also able to put you in touch with organisations who will help you explore all state available options for funding
that you are qualified for. An example is Compass Continuing Healthcare, (0121 437 6700).
